Routing Swyx Voice, several branch offices  (Switzerland)
Modified By spyker on 7/2/2009 5:03:22 PM)

Hellou..

We're considering to implement Swyx at a "special" customer.. There is one headoffice, connected to a special network,
which is supported directly by a big ISP.. So, they have a 10.x.y.z-IP address on their WAN-Interface of their Router/Firewall. All the other
branch offices have such an network connectivity, just with another 10.x.y.z-address. Nothing is blocked within the network,
except what our firewalls block.

So the idea is, that we install the Swyx server at the head office and the clients at any other office.

What ports do  we need to open at the branch offices firewalls, and at the head office firewall?

I don't know exactly what type of devices we'll using, but I think we're having L400/600, SwyxIts, SIP devices..

Thanks for any support!

Hi spyker....

This sounds like a perfect job for our Wiki. Check out this: Which ports are used by SwyxWare?

Hi Morten

Back from holidays straigt to this new project.. Thanks for your link for first..

I've read the wiki article, but I'm still no sure, where to open which ports. Because we have about 4 or 5 branch offices, I think it'll be too complex to open all these
ports on nearly all the firewalls.. So I think I'll go for VPN connections from every branch office, to every other branch.. So I don't have to worry about ports etc..
