Chat anybody ?  (Germany)

I am just curious: has anybody here ever used the chat ?

What would you people think about a regular "tech-talk" once a week or once a month with having lots of people available for a certain period of time in the chat room ?

Re: Chat anybody ?  (Norway)

You know me!!! I have tried several times, but of course it is quite boring chatting with myself all the time . I have never seen anyone else in the chat.

And *yes*, let's have a tech talk session.

Re: Chat anybody ?  (Switzerland)

I logged in to the chat as well from time to time, but as sad, no one's ever online.

Re: Chat anybody ?  (Germany)

first attempt - already found beni inside the chat ;)

and a suggestion to Tom regarding easy discussion about problems/logs: public share to exchange logfiles or a kind of whiteboard/presentation functionality (similar to GoToMeeting etc.)

Re: Chat anybody ?  (Germany)

Next question: Is there an archive of old chats ?
Or at least a possibility to scroll back some more lines as the currently available ~20 lines ?

Re: Chat anybody ?  (Germany)

Not with the current chat module. I am playing around with this one to replace the current one:

http://www.swirlhost.com/Default.aspx?alias=www.swirlhost.com/chatroom

But it also lacks the archive feature. But at least it keeps track of the entire conversation of a chat room and your personal settings.

Hi Stefan,

Morten was so kind to donate the new chat module to swyx-forum. Give it a try, it comes with the wanted archive functionality

@Morten: thanks for that !!!
