How to use own avatars in this forum ?  (Germany)

There is currently a bug within the forum module. This will be fixed within a couple of days from now. If you can't wait, sent me your avatar and I'll set it up for you.

Tom.

Re: How to use own avatars in this forum ?  (Netherlands)

Tom,

Is this problem fixed yet?

I uploaded my avatar (twice) but the settings don't stay (I didn't get the avatar shown in my forum posts).

Only when I wanted to add pictures to the wiki page I created, I wasn't able to upload a picture from my local machine, but I saw my avatar on the server directory.

Is there a  more conveiniant way of uploading images for the wiki pages?

thanks

Martijn van Weert

The problem isn't fixed yet and you describe exactly what the problem is. I think in 2 weeks from now I will be able to update the forum to the latest version which is currently under heavy qa from it's developers.

Not yet. I am still testing different gallery modules which are also capable of playing movies. What ever module I decide to finally use on this ite, it will come with an upload meachnism. And this is already the current solution for getting pictures into a Wiki (if you want to do it totally by your own without asking me to do the upload): use the upload meachnism within the forum's user settings to get the file on the server, and afterwards select it from within the image dialog of the Wiki editor. Another possiblity would be to write a blog. Here you would also have an upload meachnism included. If you want to write your own blog, just tell me and I'll put you into the needed user group with all necessary right configured.

Regards, Tom.

Please give it another try. There were some security settings misconfigured...

It's halfway OK now. But if I try the same as .png, the result is a gray rectangle

Re: How to use own avatars in this forum ?  (Germany)

That sounds like a bug in the forum module. Unfortunately the latest version of the module introduced some severe new bugs that definately keep me from updating.

My suggestions to have one current version with hotfix releases and one "future" version to implement all new features in where not heared or welcomed. Fact is they work only on one version, putting all hotfixes and new features in. That's crap, but there is nothing I can do about it.

Tom.
