Hi

When posting on this forum, it defaults to using the "Rich Text Editor" but it only works in IE (and possibly Firefox). I know there was a post somewhere a while ago about someone not being able to post using Safari and his attitude got the thread locked.

I am using Google Chrome (which is based on WebKit that Safari also uses) and the only way I can post correctly is by Selecting "Basic Text Box" instead of "Rich Text Editor".

Now my request is, is it possible to allow each user to select whether they want to use the text box or the text editor as default? Hopefully this should be simple enough to implement. If not, no worries, but I would appreciate it and you'll have an extra 1% more posters :)

Re: Default Post Editor  (Germany)

Mahomed,

from a previous forum module version I know that it recalled the latest used editor. I have just tested the current version and this really usefull feature was either damaged or removed

I do not modify any core DotNetNuke modules by myself as I really don't have the time to re-do this again and again whenever there are module updates available.

I am going to ask the DNN guys to take care of this. But from enough experiance I know that this can take a while...

Tom.
