| User busy, but he ISN'T! (Switzerland) |
|
|
Strange problem at a customer..
Swyx 6.12.0
User A calls User B and gets the busy signal.. even if user B isn't busy.. after 3 or 4 calls, it rings.
If User C calls User B, everything works fine.
Here I've some logs..
When I'm right, there's only a timeout in this "busy request":..? Could mean that this is a network issue?

I've seen this behaviour before.
Could it be that the user who apears to be busy has some sort of firewall software running?
I had this problem with a customer who had his server in another subnet as the clients and the Clmgr.exe exception in the local windows firewall was set to only the local subnet.
I think this is similar behaviour.

Windows Firewall isn't activated, Server/Client are on the same subnet.
Antivirus-solution is from F-Secure.. didn't took a closer look to the AV..

Hi Spyker,
the server sends out the SIP invite messages, but the client answer didn't arrives at the server. Create a two sideded wireshark on server and client and check if the client recieves the invite messages and answers with an OK message and if the OK message arrives at the server.

Hello again!
I updated to 6.12.1.. and could reproduce this "busy"-error only once at the same day! I tried about 100 times.. 99 success, 1 fail..
Customer called me today, and said, that the percentage is about fifty-fifty now.. he thinks, that it is about the same as before..
I had no time to do some wiresharks, so, I've no further informations unfortunately.. any other hints?

Is this a behaviuor on all users, or just on a certain specific user?

Hi spyker
I would have taken a closer look at F-Secure. I am pretty sure F-secure will block traffic it finds suspicious, like a lot of small packets. This might occur when a lot of messages is sent back and forth between SwyxIt! and Swyxserver. Is the F-secure implemented as a centrally managed solution, or ´stand-alone´?
