Database problems suggestions missing links  (Netherlands)

Hi Tom,

Maybe it is possible that you can open new threads for some(!) of the missing links? I specially think about two subjects:

1) The thread and knowledge you gave about using name resolving from other databaseses

2) The thread regarding the voicemail solutions after working hours called night shift or something in English

Kind regards,

Wilco

Re: Database problems suggestions missing links  (Germany)

Wilco,

I'll put that on the on the list. Top prio have the CeBIT Ticker news, and then I am open for suggestions. But please keep in mind that this is a lot of copy & paste work. So I am ot going to restore everything

Re: Database problems suggestions missing links  (Switzerland)

Just an idea: I think the hole documentation from "the dude" should be restored as well, thought this was a very helpful topic for all of us who don't work daily with snmp. So, the missing posts from this http://www.swyx-forum.com/community/Community/Forums/tabid/54/forumid/7/threadid/2515/scope/posts/threadpage/2/Default.aspx

Martin was about to write a Wiki article about that. Seems that it is gone now as well. I think this thread should be put into a Wiki-article and that links to all the tools presented in the thread should be at the end of the article. Then it will not fade into forum oblivion over the next month when more recent updated and new threads get on top....

Just a thought....

Re: Database problems suggestions missing links  (Germany)

I'll grab all the posts from the corrupt database and mail the mto the original posters. So it's up to them to repost them again.

But give me some time for this, please. I can do this in my spare time only and there are other things in my life as well

Re: Database problems suggestions missing links  (Germany)

Is someone around willing to help on this if I provide an extract of the database ?

It is just getting the content of forum posts (do a little bit formatting - replace escaped html tags by they actual html tags) and then post the data again.

Volunteers one step forward
