No ringing on SwyxIt!  (Norway)
Modified By Morten Rokosz on 8/24/2007 1:40:59 PM)

This is the day for strange things to happen (or maybe I am just tired in the end of the week...)

On our own lab systems, that some of us is using to get some real life load on it, I have an user running SwyxIt! on Windows XP. He uses a USB headset and have some speakers connected to his laptop. Everything is latest available version of released Swyx SW.

But we can not make his SwyxIt! ring. We have ran the Soundwizard, everything is OK, sound in the headset and speakers if we choose them. But on the page to select where the ringing will go, there is no sound when we press 'play'. Does not matter if we choose USB or soundcard.

Also on the ringing tab in the User Profile settings, we do not hear anything when we press 'play'. No matter which soundfile we are choosing.

Have I missed something really basic here. I am stucked, help me calm down for the weekend

Re: No ringing on SwyxIt!  (United Kingdom)

We have just had the same problem (on my own phone ) - did you ever resolve this. I tried switching headsets (both were Plantronics CS60-USB)  and reran the sound wizard.

Everything in the sound wizard is fine (speech, recording etc) except ringing -it will not play through the headsets. I have tried going into user profiles / ringing and editing the ring tones and played the wavs from there - but nothing.

Any ideas??!!??

Sorry Tim, we never figured this out. He had no sound until he got a new PC with a fresh OS installed.

Re: No ringing on SwyxIt!  (Germany)

Hi Tim,

- is the headset shown in the SwyxIt! settings as "H360" or "CS50/CS60" ?
- does SwyxIt! respond to pressing the headset hook button?

If SwyxIt! does not respond to the hook button: Could it be that you have de-installed Plantronics PerSonoCall after installing SwyxIt! ? In this case the Plantronics device API used by SwyxIt! would have been uninstalled. For a solution re-install SwyxIt!.

Best regards
Wolfgang Bruessler

It is showing as H360

Yes - in everything other than ringing it works normally.
