Client-side incoming calls no longer updating  (Netherlands)

Hi.

I have a problem I hope you can help with. For some of our users, the incoming calls list accessible through the SwyxIt! client is no longer updating. This also includes the red system tray notification icon when the person has missed a call. This list simply does not update anymore. This is not the case for all of our users but I cannot tell why users do or do not experience the problem. I have recently run into this problem myself after being away for a few weeks. Could it have something to do with not opening the list for a while or too many entries being put in the list and not being viewed? I tried upping the list size (personal settings -> lists -> incoming calls) but this does not hep once the problem exists. I have been looking for the specific data in the database but have not been able to find it so I guess it is contained within the CDS Blob.

Has anyone run into this problem before or know what to do? Any hepl would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Client-side incoming calls no longer updating  (Norway)

Hi Jesse

We have seen this on many 6.11 SwyxWare servers. Could you verify if the Redial List is not updating after you have made a call as well? If you log off and on your SwyxIt! Client, does the missed entries show then?

Only remedy we found is to restart the server. But before you do that I would really like you to enable client (SwyxIt!) traces and server trace wait about 15 minutes and then do some testcalls to the user in question. Please open a ticket with Swyx support and give them the traces. I have already sent them some.

Re: Client-side incoming calls no longer updating  (United Kingdom)

Rather than restarting the server, try restarting the Swyx ConfigDataStore service. That's supposed to fix. The bug was also supposed to have been fixed in 6.11 but that's another discussion

You are right. But it seems what happens in 6.11 is slightly different. We have to restart the physical server, restarting services does not help. At one server restarting the server does not help either, they have to log off and on SwyxIt! to get the missed calls. We hope this is fixed in 6.12.

Re: Client-side incoming calls no longer updating  (Netherlands)

Hi

Thanks for all the information. To answer your questions.

This only applies to the incoming calls list (including missed calls). The redial list works as it should. Also, restarting the client does not fix the missing entries. I usually login anew every day so I would have noticed and this would not have been such a problem. I will try to create some traces both client and server side and I will try restarting the CDS or the entire server to fix the problem. Hope it helps!
