Do Swyx use customised SX2 cards?  (United Kingdom)

I have a client that has an SX2 single card that he says is not working. I dont know where he has brought  it from but it was not bought through us so i presume it is not from Swyx. It could be just the jummper settings but I wanted to check that it would be possible before i start trouble shooting it.

Thanks

Nathan

Moin,

you can check if it is a Swyx SX2 ISDN board by comparing the board's PCI device ID with those listed in the file sx2.inf in the official Swyx driver software.

Re: Do Swyx use customised SX2 cards?  (United Kingdom)
Ok but if it was not a swyx SX2 would it not work? I have already said that as it was not purchased from us it is not covered by their maintenance agreement and he should contact who he brought it from. He is questioning me further because on the website it states "To interface with the PSTN, SwyxGate uses standard ISDN and analogue boards connecting to the PSTN." Listed in the ISDN card versions he found the SX2.I have never had this problem before as I always presumed that they had custom firmware, so brought them from Swyx. Thanks again.

Re: Do Swyx use customised SX2 cards?  (Germany)

Swyx does support ISDN boards being manufactured by Swyx only (or in the past have been delivered through Swyx only).

The statement on the website means that the Swyx boards comply to common standards.
