third party DECT-Phones  (Germany)

I wonder if somebody has ever tried third party DECT phones together with the IP 800 bases?

Which models work? Are there any problems or functional restrictions compared to the original ones?

Any hint is welcome!

Kind regards,

Burkhard Greeb

Re: third party DECT-Phones  (Denmark)

I have heard from Iceland, that some of the Siemens telephones works without any problems.

I think it was the C470 Telephone, but maybe the guys from Iceland can inform us ?

Re: third party DECT-Phones  (Germany)

Hallo,

we had tested some more DECT-phones ( Germany ) at the 800 Statitions and also on a different DECT-Station ( SIP).

Some beetel ( DETEWE) the same as C944 ( Philips) , some Siemens-phones ( must ask later for typ of phone)

and also some new phones G355 and G955 ( nec-philips, SW ) and one IP54 phone ( some pictures for I600 could be found by google )

We tested not all functions, but the daily used functions was ok.

( Swyx-SW 6.10 and 6.12 )

Coud you please be more specific what functions were ok?

Meanwhile, we tested some Siemens models (SL3 prof. and SL37H). Results were the same: Roaming works but handover not. And that's the issue...

Re: third party DECT-Phones  (Germany)

Hello,

on Ascom DECT 800 we had also no handover-functions ! , also with different Handsets. But with some other it  works.

But then we tested a new Dect-Station with multi-site funktion ( more subnet funktion for different locations ) and there we have also verry good handover function

and can use this Handsets in different "Subnet-locations" without reregister them, they will moved automaticly to the new logged in Dect-stations.

Also we had activated a central Phonebook ( XLs or SQL possible ) for some dedicated phones and the performance is good.

We would test them more, and then give an information in PPT of Swyx .

For "untested" versions please contact me directly for further informations.

Re: third party DECT-Phones  (Germany)

Hi Frank,

the problem is that we already have an installation at customer' s site consisting of 13 DECT 800 stations and cannot switch to a different solution.

The customer simply doesn't like his D200 handsets, that's all....

That's no surprise. We did not even choose to keep it in stock. The extra money for the D300 is well spent, and no complains about those handsets.
