How to write blog articles using Windows Live Writer  (Germany)
Modified By SuperUser Account on 11/9/2008 11:39:47 AM)

Many blog sites on the internet provide an interface for 3rd party blogging software, allowing users to write and publish their blog articles in an editor of their choice instead of forcing them to write the articles online on the blog page.

Swyx Forum offers such an interface now as well !

The following describes how to setup the Windows Live Writer to use it as editor for the own blog at Swyx Forum:

BTW: if you don't have your own blog on Swyx Forum but want to have now just read this forum article.

Enjoy !

Summary and Content of a blog article  (Germany)
Modified By SuperUser Account on 11/9/2008 11:44:07 AM)

If you don't want to make use of Swyx Forum's blog auto-summary feature you can tell Windows Live Writer to sent your own written summary. All you have to is to split your post

Afterwards place the summary in the first area and the content in the second one:

The summary will be displyed in the list of articles before the Read More link.

Please note: when opening the blog article at Swyx Forum the summary and the content will be displayed both as content.
