Editing Keyboard-Hotkey-Action?  (Switzerland)

Is it possible to edit the default hotkey-actions in the SwyxIt-Settings?

Our customer has a callcenter. The users regurlary dial a number in a mail or the internet
via F11 (or whatever, executing this "dial marked/highlihted number/URI)).. Now the problem
is, that they have several line-buttons, which means they have to change the line-button,
depending on the destination of the call.

Now, they asked me, if it is possible to edit this "dial marked number/URI" action, so that
it just copies the highlighted/marked number, and copy it into Swyx, WITHOUT dialling it
directly!?

Yes, I know, pressing the line-button just bevor pressing F11 in IE or whatever would
solve the problem, but with their process optimisations, it would better meet their needs,
if the number is just copied..

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance..

Re: Editing Keyboard-Hotkey-Action?  (Norway)

Hmmm, what about selecting the number, then CTRL-C. Bring SwyxIt! to focus (with ALT-TAB), then CTRL-V and press the appropriate line key?

Re: Editing Keyboard-Hotkey-Action?  (Switzerland)

Of course, this would work as well.. but they're familiar in using the F11-Hotkey.. A customization of this would be perfect..

If I tell them your opinion, they'll answer "ctrl-c, alt-tab, ctrl-v, click.. this is MUCH too complicated.."..  ;-)

What happens when activating this hotkey? Is this a file which is called?I found this callTo.vbs.. may be this is used?

The CallTo script is used for the CallTo URL in web pages and "dial selected number" context menu and button in the internet explorer. F11 is directly handled by SwyxIt! itself. Without code change, this cannot be changed.

Technically there are three options:
- We implement an additional hotkey "Copy selected number to SwyxIt!" for a future version
- We implement a configuration (checkbox) for a future version
- You implement an own application that registers F11 as hotkey and does the work ;-)

Best regards

Re: Editing Keyboard-Hotkey-Action?  (United Kingdom)
If you want to go the 3rd party app route, you can try an application called RemoteKeys. Here is a quick script I wrote for it.
{/BTCH.EXPLICIT}
{HOLD.CONTROL}c
{/APP.OPEN "C:\Program Files\SwyxIt!\SwyxIt!.exe", /M}
{/BTCH.WAIT.CLICK 3}
{HOLD.CONTROL}v
