Well, maybe your feeling was not so far off.. Dr. Bostrom, a philosopher at Oxford University, believes there is a 20 percent chance that our world and lives are part of a computer simulation. We are all just an illusion. If this thought does not mess with your brain, I do not know what will! But this is a seriuos assumption by a serious man and the article is printed in the New York Times. 'Post humans', or beeings in a distant future (relative to the assumed present time of year 2007), have us all simulated in a rather powerfull computer. If this means I do not have to pay taxes I do not know, but I know the upside of this theory. Maybe the global warming is simply just a overheated CPU.... Read the whole article here. Tags: |
