Swyx latest version, ‘SwyxWare 2011’ is now available. SwyxWare 2011 is designed to optimise business processes, improve availability and increase productivity. The new version boasts extended functionality such as rich presence, voice data encryption and HD sound quality for both audio and video telephony.
Today a short introduction in Rich Presence:
Colleagues can simply see via their SwyxIt! soft-phone whether someone is ‘away’, ‘busy’ or ‘on holiday’. By updating information on availability and contact preference in real-time, SwyxWare 2011 enables callers to understand how best to contact someone, for example via phone, email, instant messaging or mobile device.

So fare so good, but did you know that you can now also update your Speed Dial information automatically with your Outlook appointment subject?
Enabling this feature is really simple:
1. click on your status icon on the left lower corner of your SwyxIt! and select Properties
2. Enable Show my appointment subject as status text
That is it ! Now any of your colleagues which have access to your calendar information via Outlook or Lotus Notes, can mouse over your SwyxIt! Speed Dial, and get your Subject Line of your active calendar appointment displayed.
