Dear Swyx Users Configuring functions keys and speed dials on old-fashion PABX phones, used to be a tedious process and often one had to call-in a PBX technician to perform such a minor change. Swyx’s user-friendly interface allows you to re-configure your phone as needed with a couple of mouse click. This way you’re not only saving time and money, but you can change the configuration as needed. This is how you configure the buttons on your SwyxPhone Open the SwxyIt! menu Settings/User Profile. With the help of the "SwyxPhone" tab, one can easily assign the new buttons. | 1. Select the type of telephone you would like to configure from the dropdown list and then click on "Configure...". 2. A new dialog with the properties of the selected telephone will open. You will see a picture of the selected phone and the buttons, which are assigned to the keys on this phone. |
| 3. Click on a button to configure the corresponding key. 4. The Properties page of the key will open. Depending on the selected function of the key, there is another tab provided for defining the properties of this key in more detail.
|
| 5. Use this method to configure all keys of the selected phone. Depending on the selected telephone type, the user is also provided additional tabs for key modules for configuration. |
| One can also use the "Export to file..." and "Import from file..." to save or load configuration. Here you can define whether, while exporting or importing, the numbers and names with which the Speed Dials are associated should be included or not. If you deactivate the checkbox "Include Speed Dials", only the function (e.g. Speed Dial 3) will be exported, but not the name and number |
| Happy Swyxing and have a good weekend :- )
