Ok not all together a swyx topic, but as the Swyx Iphone client (lets face it, its not a client its a web page) is quite sexy this is sort of related.

Iphone users of the world will agree this is one of the best phones on the market... even better jailbroken of course. But when it comes to battery life it sucks. Start using push email, 3G and Swyx, then try and get a full day... you'll be lucky. There are of course a number of external battery options available, But the "official ones" are over £60, I wouldn't pay that for a laptop battery let alone a phone battery.

Here is my answer

I got this on EBay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/etech-city/ for £14.00. It came from China post and packing inclusive. Now this is got to be a fake, or just crap, but it was worth a try. Sure enough 5 days later it arrived,I charged it up, plugged in the iphone and 15 minutes later it was dead.... ah well... BUT

I emailed them through Ebay, not expecting a reply. But they did, they appoligised, and shipped out another, free, no return of the old one and 4 days later it arrived. And it is very good. 2200mAh, and it just goes on and on and on.

So value for money, a supplier that acutally cares, and a working product that means I can watch 2 hours of movies/ pod casts etc on the train, run swyx, push email, 3G etc etc etc and still have power left at the end of the day.

If you use an Iphone you'll need this.
