This year's Swyx Forum staff meeting (SFSM) took place in Oslo last week. These are the brief meeting minutes of day 1.

Participants: Tom Wellige, Morten Rokosz

Thursday, 18.06.2009, 10:30

Scheduled first appointment to get an overview of the local situation in Oslo. We decided to check the seaborne and airborne security installations to make sure the Oslo Swyx Forum staff member, Morten, is really safe. All though there was some heavy rain the 2 hours boat trip into the Oslo Fjord convinced me not be be worried about seaborne security issues.

Afterwards we checked for the airborne security at Forsvarets Flysamling Gardermoen, located right beside Oslo Airport, Gardermoen.

Here you can see chief engineer Morten operating at the Swyx Forum main control panels:

As this was an security inspection after all we found our self soon in a deep conversation about the need of backup systems and the different types of them. It was only then when we discovered a real backup system on a real plain:

The final highlight of the first SFSM day was Morten's well prepared speech covering lots of Swyx Forum related topics in front of the United Nations:

Talking about security issues all day we were not really surprised by spotting somehow strange looking car drivers on Norwegian roads:
