v6.20 One of the minor feature the Swyx Client Team were able to add to SwyxWare v6.20 while Open Stage Support was being implemented is a preview of SwyxIt! skins shown …

…when you select a skin to use:

Personally this has been on my wish list for a long time. Technically the preview is rather simple. Each skin.cab file now contains an additional bmp file. When you select a skin from the list, the cab is downloaded and extracted. We first thought about using separate bitmap files, but you always would have to handle two files instead of one. Because the skin cabinet files are not that big and changing a skin is not a task you do very frequently, the file size is no issue either. Preview bitmaps are downloaded asynchronously after a small timeout, i.e. you can scroll fast through the drop-down-list without causing unnecessary traffic.

All skins we ship with SwyxWare will have a preview. If you have customs skins they won’t get a preview automatically. To create one, select the skin in SwyxIt and save it again. Note: If you have  global skin for all users, select it in SwyxIt and save it you get a user-specific copy. I suggest that you do save all your custom global skins once with one user and use SwyxWare Administration or IpPBxFileExplorer to move the new skin cabinet from your user scope to the global file scope overwriting your old ones.
