These types of crashes are very rare nowadays. I can’t remember seeing one on my Vista x64 notebook ever.

These types of crashes are very rare nowadays. I can’t remember seeing one on my Vista x64 notebook ever.

But back to iTunes:

After installing the 80MB update you have

  • iTunes
  • Quicktime
  • BonjourService
  • MobileMe

plus some new device drivers which seem to be the cause of the crashes. I have a second generation iPod Nano I still sometimes use when riding my bicycle. I fill it with a small program called floola. It’s stored on the iPod and can be started directly from there after plugging the player into the PC. Works great and does not waste any resources on my notebook.
