I have been using a small utility for a couple of months now. It does only one thing, but it does it great and it put credit to the 'Keep it simple' phrase.

Launchy is a small program that does some simple things. It makes you launch programs very quick. Whenever you need it, just press Alt-Spacebar and it will pop-up. Now all you have to do is to start typing some letters. Let's say you want to launch SwyxIt! - type letters in the word, like 'it', SwyxIt! will show and you just press enter to start the program.
As you can see from the picture, it will also give you the option to start other programs containing the letters i and t.
Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks.
It is easy to configure the folders you want it to watch, and it even supports plugins that will give you the possibility to extend the functionality of Launchy.
