This blog is not about Wallace & Gromit, it is instead about a nice day in the city of London I'd spent yesterday. I am on an "ECR for Developers" training at the premises of MTV in Surrey, London and used the chance to arrive one day early do visit the National History Museum. Beside the Science Museum it was still on the list of museums I wanted to visit.
Last year I'd spent a nice day in the British Museum (if you are interested in extinct cultures this museum is highly recommended), some years earlier I'd spent nearly an entire weekend in the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. Here you can see a lot historical specimens, like all four Harrison watches H1 - H4 or Kendalls K1 watch (a copy of the H4 watch) that was on board the HMAV Bounty under Captain William Bligh and "stranded" after the mutiny on Pitcairn island. This museum is really talking history !!!
Anyway, back to the topic. Just don't take me too serious in the following ;-)
After checking in into my favourite place to stay in London ...
I went for a small walk and reading rest in the sun into Green Park ...
After about an hour in the sun with a nice cup of coffee from the near by coffee shop and a huge hotdog I decided to visit good ol' Liz for a cup of tea. I tell you, if you are going to visit an old lady with this kind of garden door be alarmed ...
Even the main door was quite impressive ...
Well, what should I tell. It seemed I wasn't welcome, at least not to enter the site ...
The armed guards (not the ones in red with this funny caps) gave this sign a certain authority ...
(no pictures taken!)
So, I decided to change plan a little bit. I headed for Hyde Park Corner to give my condolences to the victims of World War I at "The Royal Artillery Memorial" ...
to finally heading for the National History Museum to search for the evidence of a very special species ...
Is it this one ???
or this one ???
Or do you know how the Swyxus Forumus looks like ?
Suggestions welcome ;-)
