On Thursday I visited a jazz club in Iserlohn, which is about a half-hour drive from here. Swedish jazz band Oddjob had a gig there that evening. I stumbled over their fourth album last year on the website of my favorite jazz label. I think the most interesting things happening in European jazz are coming from Scandinavia. And Oddjob is a prime example. Read More » |

Dear Swyx Users
All of us working daily on computers are familiar with the drag & drop technique, as its is a fast way to perform tasks. But did you know that SwyxIt! support this great function as well? Forwarding an incoming call via Drag & Drop is very easy and also very fast! If you receive an incoming call and you wish to forward the caller on to a destination configured on your SwyxIt! you can simply do so, by dragging the ringing line on to the according speed dial. This will active a blind call transfer. In the sample below, Felix phone starts ringing . . . . . . , he receives... Read More » |

Dear Swyx Users
It happens to all of us! Instead of talking to "John" directly, we have to navigate ourselves through a company’s IVR options.
Let's say that you have an account with HP Support Line. Every time you call them and you have to listen to the welcome message, enter “1” for business service”, then enter “3” for “on account” and finally authenticate yourself with your customer ID, before you can talk to a customer rep.
With SwyxIt! you can automate the entering of the additional digits, via adding Post Dial Digits on to... Read More » |

One of my favourite games for the Amiga was Ports of Call. I also bought it for the PC a couple of years ago. It is a trading simulator, where you transport goods from one port in the world to another. So when I read about a project that is using Goolgle Earth to make a ship simulator, I tested it right away.
The ‘game’ is developed by Dinther Product Design. Try it here: Ships

Dear Swyx Users
Did you know that you can configure ringtones depending on the number of the caller? And that you can also select different ringtones depending on the department or extension called ?
This is how you define different ringing sounds within your SwyxIt! soft phone client:
Go to the menu bar and click on “Settings | User Settings…”.
Select the “Ringing” tab.

If you try to call company X and they return an engaged signal but you have to talk to company X ASAP, you can make use of Swyx Automatic Redial function! Swyx has been around for ten years. We just started our business, with strong focus on Swyx products and we are sure we will be successful delivering services based on the Swyx product range. The first step is now completed, we have an officelocation and the necessary IT systems up and running. The CRM, accounting and logistic system is a web-based solution from 24SevenOffice. Email and simple office applications are handled with Google Apps for Domains.
Our office is located in Østensjøveien 36, just 8 minutes from Oslo center with the Metro or car. We are renting two offices from another company. They rent the complete floor and rent some of the offices to us and another company.
We are very satisfied to get such a nice office location, for a quite reasonable price I think. Enjoy the photos of the office below.
